yeah it will mes up if you put in the value
1 of 100 ,, but i have tested 10000 works for me so don,t go below that :p
i tryed 10000 on my old pc :p and it works much faster!!! thxx
I use 20000 and it works Great!
most likely your system will start messing up. :/
hope it works.. for me xD
believe it or not, but when i do that my pc startup slows down with 3 seconds :S
@swolfje
thanks. still, i tried on my portable, with xp, and it was realy really fast to boot up
don’t try it tweak have a risk. Windows 7 is already very fast
does this work in win 7?
what wold happen if you set it to 1
@AnimeLoverSleven777 no
warhammer 40,000
because there are other things loading
and the hardisk is completely dumb
at multi tasking
the pc gives it very tiny fractions of time
and he goes grab a file in other hdd spend time flying there…. and even before that hdd reading operation ends the MB is already asking for another file…
can you figure out the rest?
It works only if you have a good CPU. How do you expect your computer to boot in 10 seconds if you have a 300 Mhz Celeron, and only by modifying some HEX value?. SHIT!
The StartupDelay entry controls the time delay after a system startup before Indexing Service, an automatic system service, starts any scanning or indexing work.
Well This work On windows7?
okey it seems unlikely, but I give it a chance
can this be applied to vista too? if so how low can you go on the value?
40,000? Why not 0, or 4000?
i see that you put 40000 on your value there
whats the LOWEST value taht you can put?
Lol dude It’s CurrentControlSet…
why not just 0 for delay?
soz like that on win it wont work u will have to change it to 40,000 then it will work probably
i clocked this
bootup difference to xp-logo 1second difference
to blue welcome-screen 3sec diff
to load all windows applications and ready to use 3sec diff.
value 40 000
usually i switch on my computer, go make a cup of coffee, then come back and start working, so i don’t see big advantage in making it boot up 10 secs faster
thanx for the tip anyway, i always love playing with regedit
